Colorful layers of dyed birch wood pressed together to form unusual colors of  handles.  Each handle set includes 2 pieces cut to 1.5" X 5" X 3/8"
 
The Impregnated material is the same process of the old "Dymondwood” material made by Rutland Plywood before the fire shut them down.  It is very stabile and does not require any sealer or finish

Much like “Dymondwood” was, this material is pressed with a heated press as indicated by little thermocouple wires in some sheets at the very edge to control the press temperature.
 
Another specification that is like “Dymondwood” was; is the slight cross ply layup of the veneers.  This is a subtle offset of the grain of the wood, but adds to the strength of the material by not having the grain of the veneers exactly straight with each other.
 
Each veneer is dyed with color and then impregnated with resign completely through, (rather than just having a resign joint between veneers) with minimal penetration, like the HD material.
